Danny M. Hedgepath, Sr.

I thank God for the opportunity to serve the Kingdom and the people of Sheldon.  We believe that Jesus and people truly matter to God and to each of us.  We desire to be a church that teaches the truth of God's Word, and live it out in front of all people.  The lost, the hurting, the young, and the old are precious in God's sight.  That is why Sheldon Baptist Church is the lighthouse for the community.

Deacons

Chariman:  Wayne Blankenship

The Deacons of Sheldon Baptist Church understand the need every church has for Godly men to serve the church as Deacons.  This Scriptural position was established out of need for the church membership, and is not to be taken lightly.  Jesus Himself identified with the Servant Leader style of leadership by washing the feet of His disciples.  "The first shall be last and the last shall be first," adivsies all deacons leadership and a title mean nothing if not follwed up by constant action.  We currently have five deacons serving the church membership through the Deacon Family Ministry program.  Each deacon has a heart to serve God's people! 

Sunday School

      Director: Anita Mixson

     It is a true joy to have you in our Sunday School for Bible study.  It is my prayer you will enjoy the fellowship and have gained knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  We invite you to join us each week for Bible study and Worship.  May you feel God’s loving embrace and

feel His encouragement in your heart. Classes available for all ages.

Discipleship

             Director: Harry Carr

The New Life Discipleship Training prgram here at Sheldon offers a wide range of discipleship opportunites, and educational material.  We offer both multiple classes and independent studies.  Our church media center is a great resource to help all members in their studies.

Brotherhood

       Director: Don Seigler

Brotherhood meets every third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm. We strive

to build relationships among men and their Savior God.  We work together serving others as servants of Christ Jesus.  Our mission projects are our service to the Lord Jesus,

His church and "to the least of these."

W.M.U.

 Director: Natalie Seno

Women's Missionary Unition (WMU)  meets every third Wednesday of the month during

Missions Night at 7:00 pm.  Our focus is to establish a loving and serving heart for women

and for our Savior the Lord Jesus.  We want to be obedient as mission minded disciples in our personal, family, and church ministries.  We promote missions, do missions, and

assist other mission organizations.

Adult Choir

                                                        Director: Wayne Blankenship

                                                       Pianist: 

                      Our choir sings every Sunday morning and performs special concerts

               during the year.  Choir practice is held every Wednesday evening at 8:00 P.M.

Media Center

Director:  Anita Mixon

Our library is always available for books, reference materials, and videos.
